After 25 years of Media Sales, Agency and Property Field Sales, and entrepreneurship I, knew I was ideal for film production. Hitting Targets and Coordination of logistics, imparting new concepts, adapting schedules, are all invaluable here.
I was a Team Leader and involved in interviewing and training of new recruits how to be successful team members. Coaching to success was also essential.
I started an advertising agency in 2005 with 2 colleagues, which had exponential growth for 4 years, including taking a lion share of the telecommunications and ringtones markets.
I also produced a local termly, parenting magazine which was aimed at parents of preschoolers, whilst being a ‘stay at home’ Dad. Businesses networking was essential here, to win new clients. This also included being a talking head on the radio, talking about combining entrepreneurship with parenting.
I was key instigator of a 21 strong business development consultancy, who aimed to be a 1 stop shop for any troubled SME’s. This involved recruitment of members with varied expertise as well as pitching for new business. It required excellent communication skills, aswell as dispute resolution with integrity.
I have been a Sales Director most recently for Travel and West London newspaper and magazine producer.
My core belief has always been, under promise and over deliver. My mantra is also anticipate change, namely searching for new media advertising opportunities, for clients to benefit from, to avoid declining markets.
Though my passion has always been film! I was a frustrated creative, but now I am following my dreams! I used to write comedy and act in films of our own, which we never released! Like most people.
